Why can't I log into Baton?
If you are ever redirected to the login page, you should enter in your email and request a confirmation link. Once you log in via your emailed confirmation link, the site will take you where you need to go.
If you find yourself stuck in a signup loop, contact advisor@batonmarket.com and we'll help you out of it.
Where is my confirmation email?
Your confirmation email may have gone to spam, so please check your spam folder first. It also may take a few minutes to arrive, so please wait up to 5 minutes before requesting another confirmation email.
If you're still not receiving it, your email provider may an overactive or overly prescriptive spam guard. Many larger companies or universities employ these in order to prevent phishing attempts, but in some cases, they block confirmation emails as well. Unfortunately, the only way to fix that problem is to substitute another email address that's on a different domain (i.e. not from the same institution), such as a personal email. Your Gmail account is usually a safe bet here.
I'm getting a "Connection Not Safe" error.
Any web address you're accessing that's coming from batonmarket.com is safe and secure. Connecting to Baton servers is 100% encrypted and uses cutting edge security technology. We take care to ensure our website is continuously secured, so this is generally not an issue coming from our end.
If you continue to run into a "Connection Not Safe" error, please check your connection. Are you accessing the site via public or unprotected wifi (i.e. a network without a password)? If so, you may run into this issue.
You may also encounter this error if you have an ad blocker or pop-up blocker enabled, as we use necessary cookies on our site. If that's the case, go ahead and disable it, then continue.
If the problem persists, please try clearing your cache and trying again.
